Hawker Walk render
Hawker market buzz arrives in the capital

An all-new food precinct delivering pan-Asian cuisine in a traditional hawker-style market atmosphere, Hawker Walk is set to add new flavour to Canberra’s thriving dining scene.

With construction now underway, the open-air precinct will introduce more than a dozen innovative food concepts to Canberra Centre when it opens in late 2022. A preliminary step in QICGRE's multi-year transformation of the site, this 1500sqm development will seamlessly activate space between Canberra Centre and adjoining office accommodation while complementing the centre’s highly regarded culinary offer.

Offering sociable dining and healthy grab-and-go lunch options, Hawker Walk is designed to meet the needs of busy workers and serious food lovers alike. A tree-lined promenade will allow pedestrians to explore the precinct freely, while ample on-site carparking provides further comfort and accessibility for locals and visitors to the CBD.
