As a part of this year’s NAIDOC week celebrations, QIC unveiled a new commissioned work by Aboriginal artist Cheryl Moggs OAM. Proudly displayed in our shopping centres across Australia, the beautiful piece captures the importance of land, country, community and inclusivity.
In collaboration with local Indigenous leaders, QIC centres also hosted dance performances, Dreamtime storytelling sessions and creative workshops to encourage visitors to reflect on and share their commitment to reconciliation.
Indigenous Partnership Manager Andrew Niven said: “Our centres aim to build respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and we are committed to progressing our Reconciliation Action Plan by creating inclusive places for the whole community to enjoy.”
