The completion of the 10-storey tower at 5 Bond Street marks a significant milestone in QIC's ongoing investment in Ringwood's commercial landscape. The development adds 12,000sqm of A-grade office accommodation across five levels to Eastland's growing public services hub, complementing the Department of Transport tower opposite and Waterman coworking space established in 2022.

Designed by acclaimed architecture studio Fender Katsalidis and delivered by construction partner Maben, the all-electric building targets industry-leading 6-star NABERS and 5-star Green Star ratings in line with QIC's commitment to best-practice sustainable development.

Eastern Health has secured 5000sqm across three levels, where it will deliver comprehensive day surgery and emergency care services. The major healthcare provider joins the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and apprenticeship network provider MEGT Australia, achieving full occupancy on completion.

This carefully curated tenant mix reinforces QIC's strategic vision for creating mixed-use environments that support prosperity and superior work-life balance on Melbourne's metropolitan fringe. The development strengthens the reputation of Eastland as a comprehensive destination where local residents can build pathways to their future.

Building occupants and visitors benefit from exceptional connectivity, with doorstep access to Ringwood Station's train and bus services, plus direct links to the Eastlink Freeway. The building's integration with the shopping centre enhances productivity and lifestyle advantages for staff, while the adjacent Sage Ringwood offers on-site accommodation and conference facilities.

The introduction of healthcare professionals, government employees and other officer staff expands the consistent weekday customer base of retail partners throughout the precinct. Additionally, patients and clients generate further retail engagement opportunities as appointments can easily be combined with shopping, dining and entertainment—creating valuable cross-pollination between these new service providers and existing Eastland partners.

QIC Investment General Manager Quintin Mansell commented: “5 Bond Street is a strategic investment in Ringwood's future, saving residents from long commutes to access important healthcare, public and professional services. It feeds into our broader vision for Eastland and the surrounding precinct as a modern town centre and business district where people can work, shop, access services and connect, all within walking distance of major transport links.”
