Canberra Centre
The retail heart of Australia's capital

Canberra Centre is the city’s premier destination for fashion, dining and artful living – a place where the finest local and global brands are showcased and the country's changemakers make the most of their downtime.

Built in 1963 as part of Walter Burley Griffin’s original plan for the nation's capital, Canberra Centre has long set the benchmark for innovation in retail design as the Australia's first fully enclosed and air-conditioned shopping mall.

Introducing Tiger Lane

Tiger Lane is an all-new food precinct that will deliver pan-Asian cuisine in a market-style atmosphere.

The new one-of-a-kind dining precinct will feature dining outlets and bars split into different sections reflective of their cuisine and country of origin.

With construction underway, the open-air promenade will introduce more than a dozen innovative food concepts to Canberra Centre when it opens in late 2022. A part of QIC’s multi-year transformation of its 1500sqm site. The development seamlessly activates space between the centre and adjoining office towers at 224 Bunda Street.

Designed to meet the needs of business professionals and foodies, Tiger Lane will be pedestrianised to allow people to explore the area freely.

The extensive $25m refurbishment included major upgrades to the site’s surrounding streetscape and grand entrance lobby, the introduction of a new flexible workspace (a first for Canberra), plus a new conferencing centre and hospitality offer.
The second-floor lift lobby – connects visitors to the adjoining retail and dining amenity of Canberra Centre.
