Hungry 4 Success at Eastland

Eastland in Victoria and Glad Group (the centre’s integrated services provider) have partnered with Glen Park Community Centre to support the Hungry 4 Success Program. The Program caters for young people aged between 16 and 25 who are out of work or have left school early and helps provide them a pathway into employment.
Initially the Program focused on employment in the hospitality industry, however thanks to the support of Eastland and Glad Group, it has now expanded to include guest services, cleaning, security and maintenance, resulting in increased employment opportunities. Eastland has now employed 14 Program participants through Glad Group.
The Hungry 4 Success Program has been shortlisted and is a finalist for the 2022 Learn Local Victoria awards. The Learn Local Awards are held annually by the Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) Board to celebrate the exceptional efforts and achievements of individuals, programs and training providers within the Learn Local sector.
